About Song Flight
Back in 2022 in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I created Song Flight - a global initiative designed to call attention to and support the 1.9 million children who'd been displaced by the war.

Song Flight utilized the tools I developed and have been using over the past 16 years for my children’s media property, CritterKin. However, I created original stories, songs, and creative activities for the project. These were designed to appeal to and encourage current members of the CritterKin community - who had experienced other CritterKin programs - to take part as well.
​
The Song Flight pilot launched on February 13, 2023 with a class of Ukrainian children who'd moved to Canada and were attending the Josyf Cardinal Slipyj Catholic School in Toronto. The following day, musicians from around the world gave a live, virtual concert in honor of the kids and to celebrate Valentines Day.
